Special Optical Effect: Fire and Brilliance
Fire: flashes of colour. Seen when a transparent faceted gemstone is rotated under a lamp or in sunlight. Gem which displays high fire is due to its high dispersion rate.
Dispersion: is the difference in RI in a gem measured at 2 different wavelengths (red & violet) of light. i.e. The ability of a cut gem to separate the white colours into rainbow colours. Dispersion may produce flashes of spectral colour or fire form a faceted gemstone, when white light passes through the inclined facets.
Brilliance: is an internal & external reflection effect.
A well-proportioned brilliant-cut diamond shows a high degree of brilliance because most of the light that enters the crown is returned by total internal reflection and is thus transmitted back to the table.
We can custom made any diamond pendant or ring with your
preference. Every diamond (with 0.40 ct or above weight) will come with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificate.
