Remarks：Beautiful & rare, sillimanite is found in 2 forms, 1: clear & glassy (Transparent); 2: the other is silky & fibrous, display Cat's eye effect (Translucent). It is named for the US geologist Benjamin Silliman (1779 - 1864). When it is found in its fibrous state, it is often known as fibrolite.
