Hollandite is barium manganese oxide crystal which grow in monoclinic crystal system and has a hardness of 4-6.

Hollandite was originally discovered in India and has been known since at 1906. It was named after Thomas Henry Holland (1868-1947), director of the Geological Survey of India.
